Holidays and Exercise – they sort of went together

Well, I made it through.  There were a couple of days where the exercise was minimal, and one without any.  It was a bit of a learning curve too – being in someone’s house certainly makes exercising hard.

My coach keeps upping the number of repetitions on all my exercises… I must admit I was really hoping for her to let up with the holidays and all.  I keep waiting for that magical day when, voila!  I wake up the day after exercising and no stiff muscles, no discovery of new muscles… two weeks isn’t enough folks!  It will come, it will come.  Instead of focusing on it as a goal I’m trying to focus more on “slip-ins”.  Those are exercises you do when you are doing other things, just slipping one in so to speak.  Little things like just pulling in your gut, or doing a few standing pelvic tilts while cooking.

Now I am off to watch a movie with my boys, a treat well deserved!
